Set up sci.rs

Install the CLI, sign in, then add the SRS skill to Codex or Claude Code. The CLI records runs; your scientific commands still run on your machine.

1 · CLI

Install and connect

For macOS and Linux. Install Bun 1.4 or later, then download the sci.rs CLI. The installer adds the PRD command srs when that name is free and preserves an existing command there; sci-rs always works.

Confirm bun --version prints 1.4 or later. If your shell does not already include ~/.local/bin on PATH, add the export shown above to your shell profile.

Verify the download checksum

Download the checksum alongside the CLI. Run the matching command from ~/.local/bin before executing the file.

Sign in, then initialize sci.rs from the root of the Git repository you want to track.

Connect your account and project
srs login
# From the root of a Git repository:
srs init

After sci-rs init, the CLI prints the project URL.

Published run titles, facts, logs, and code diffs are public. Uploaded artifact files require owner access. Review a run before publishing it from a project with sensitive work.

2 · Codex

Install the SRS skill

Install it once for your user account. Open a new Codex session to load the skill.

Install the project skill

Run this from your research repository. Start a new Claude Code session after installation.
